In Poetry

As I sit beside thee, yet silent at thy feet,
Did thy sweetest tenderest heart find my own to greet.
For your love for me is vast and wide,
Stretched into the infinite reaches of the furthest skies.
How blessed I am to call myself thy precious child,
Cherished and loved through times both quiet and wild.
Your gaze upon me not a look of human eyes,
But a timeless stare through Mother God’s eternal guise.
Your love for me without limit it is true,
How wondrous and magical that I am me and you are you.
How can it be that it has taken all this long,
For me to know now my heart’s innermost song?
For you have held me in your arms, when no one else did exist,
Yours the love that travels through cosmic mist.
From the womb of all creation have we danced together you and I,
From the nothingness, waiting for the earth to heave this sigh.
As your body ages now, and your earthly bones do creak
Your love for me transcends these realms that still we seek.
Never was there a love so sacred in all the world it’s true,
Than the love of my mother, loving me as only Mother Earth can do.
